Losing Admin Power

So I’m an admin for my friends server and have been for a month. I’ve been able to use admin permissions for that month. as of last week, they all suddenly disappeared, despite still having the admin role. the other admins aren’t having the same troubles, it’s just me. nothing in the server has changed. no roles added, changed, or permissions changed. app is fully updated. i’ve removed and rejoined the server, removed admin and readded it. i don’t know what to do next. some have said 2fa but i’ve never had that enabled, and it’s never been a problem until now. any ideas?
