Server Settings > Members expanded features

This is referring to the Members page under User Management section for server staff. This page is very basic right now and could use expanded features, especially for large servers when you need to manage users in bulk.

1. Multi select
Add the ability to select 1 or more users to perform an action on. The following actions should be allowed with the selected users:

  • Kick
  • Ban
  • Add role

2. Sorting options

The users in this list are only displayed alphabetically, it would be useful to be able to sort the users based on different criteria. A couple I can think of:

  • Join date
  • Alphabetical

There could probably be more features that I can't think of now but just these 2 would help a lot with management of bulk users. Some use cases for these features:

 

  1. Your server has a lot of bots join and you need to now purge them. There is no easy way to do this without an advanced bot. With these features you could sort the users by join date, select all the bots and then ban them easily.
  2. A large number of users have joined your server and you want to give them roles. Typically this would have to be done through a bot but with these features you can have more precision with which users you want to grant a role while performing it in bulk.

    Perhaps on #2 sort by playing a game and then alphabetically.

    On my server, the default sorting seems to be by join date. Alphabetical would be much more helpful.

    But the ability to sort by clicking column headings is a very common thing with large lists and should be included.
