please dont have "safeguards" moderate servers for me

i, as a moderator with edit channel permissions temporarily gave everyone add reactions access so I could make a reaction poll. Discord let me do this without any warning or fuss. Now that I have the poll set up with reactions, I attempt to disable add reactions access to everyone, discord now pops up with this warning and refuses to change the channel permission back to what is was 3 minutes ago. everyone now has access to react emotes, the channel is now ablaze crumbling all emote purity it held. no admin in sight to fix it, the channel is in ruins. nobody is actually voting on the poll now and instead adding their nitro emote server #4095 reaction, millions of non-nitro users adding their number to that reaction. ok, none of that actually happened but I'm really dumbfounded that this "safeguard" allows the exact same thing its meant to prevent. can we just get a small clickable box below that says "haha im 800iq rock and marty watcher, I know what i'm doing 8)"? the server owner is a firm believer the "moderator" isn't a synonym of "administrator" so he actually gives permissions that exposed this atrocity coded at discord incorporated. and I am perfectly aware of how to get around this, but I'm not going to be bothered convincing the server owner to give me a special snowflake "mod but 1 role above other mod role" role, or a bloat "mod but not really mod role" role 1 below the actual mod role when the edit channel permission by itself very much should allow me to edit channel permissions.
