Anyone else with two accounts and one mobile phone number problem

Has anyone came across my problem? If so, did the invalid phone number error message ever go away and you were able to log back into the account?
 
I made two separate accounts using the same mobile phone number. I also put the two step verification on for the account I'm unable to get in.
 
I've already read discord support faq and contacted customer support.
Customer support says they don't know when the invalid phone number expires. Neither can they change the mobile phone number tied to an account to a different mobile number. I've been wondering if it can expires at all so I can verify it is me.
 
I can't seem to find anything on the internet that someone waited long enough for the error message to go away and was able to reclaim their account, so I'm asking here to see if someone has.
If the invalid number ever goes away and confirms it is me I could get back in and disable 2 step verification. I've also considered to have that account deleted and wondering would it be hassle free to immediate recreate an identical one after having an account deleted. I would like to use same email for deleted one and afraid of things getting more complicated.

    I just tried logging in my alt account and it still gives me invalid phone number. I've honestly given up on recovering it. It's been a month and discord support couldn't help.

     

    I think the 2fa should be updated and something done more for people that want alt accounts.

    Like maybe the 2fa codes could be sent to their email to be saved or maybe not allowing 2fa to be turned if it detects an account with said mobile number.

    It's ridiculous what discord has done. This could of been all avoided. 

    I feel like they care if they posted an update in regards to this awful situation.

    I had to request one of my accounts to be deleted. It did not matter that I had the required phone that could verify me. They need to do better warning people of having the same mobile number. Maybe don't even allow it if it has been already taken.

    You can't have two accounts connected to same phone number discord disconnects the other when you connect with it

    My one account was "deleted", but I still can't use my number again. I can see why this could be an issue as cell phone companies always reuse phone numbers. That could be an account issue for someone who may have not actually changed their information.

    I started looking for help and found a Discord support group instead.

    Hi, my name is Spud and somehow my cell# was added to an account I dont have and cant get help.

    I think it happened when I installed the app on my phone and had to input my cell then...but there isn't a number attached to the account = hello hell.

    I have both accounts currently unusable as when I switched my phone number to the other accounts it made my main "not verified", so I removed it from my alt, which is now not verified, but I can't re-add it to my main because:

    "This phone number was recently used on a different account"

    thank you discord.... I would like to be able to chat with my friends. I used to have a second account and the phone number thing wasn't necessary back then. I don't understand whats up now....

    Alright. let me explain the problem that you guys are having because I'm facing similar issue to what yall are experiencing right now
    my final words to this problem is that you guys are experiencing right now is that you can't have two accounts connected to same phone number discord disconnects the other when you connect with it if that makes any since to you so say for example. 

    I'm on this new account I just made and I connect with that phone number on the new account it will disconnect my phone number on my main account because I connected to the same phone number on a whole new different account which mean it disconnected my phone number on my main.

    I have contacted discord about this issue and they cannot help me I think my original phone number had got blacklisted because one of my accounts got ban for a stupid reason that I don't know and discord never like talk to me or like told me why my other account got ban and I contacted discord about it and I never like gotten a response and they never helped me out but.

    The only way to solve this problem is that you can't have two accounts connected with the same phone number with that being said try removing the phone number off one of the accounts you connected that phone number to so you can use it and if it still comes out Invaild and says the phone number is being used on a whole new different account try going on that whole new different account and putting a new phone number on the account that you had connected you're phone number to recently have you're mom, grandma, sister, anybody in you're family to help you going to try this out myself and if it works I'm a genius and the reason why I'm sayin all of this once you remove the phone number off the account that you just had added it to I guess discord doesn't fully removes it like it still on you're account until you verify it with a new phone number and when you do that then you can go ahead and put you're original phone number back on you're main 

    this is very confusing but try to go over and read what I said carefully. I hate discord phone verification system because they ask you to submit a request for help and support for the phone verification system and they don't even like really help you out with this situation countless of people have gotten this error or encounter this problem most just had got a new phone number and verified it to they're main account or something just try not to panic

    Edited: oh if you deleted that account with the phone number on it then idk what will happen I guess the phone number on the account is still there and you won't be able to use it on a different account you might have to contact discord

    To fix this issue you can ask for a friend to send you the code after you put in their number if you have alternate accounts

    I've had the exact same problem. Discord disabled my old profile without warning or reason and never notified me. I used my alt profile and then tried to make another backup. Now I am locked out still after deleting the second alt account because of the phone number for verification. By the way, something creepy happened with this. I was in some servers I was banned on the other account and as soon as I did a text verification, all the servers immediately disappeared. I'm thinking Discord keeps your information to try and stop you from joining a server on an alt account.

    I think it's a similar problem because When I had to reinstall Discord after a constant bug, I had made an account but I couldn't use email or phone because it said something like:"This email/phone is already used. You may have to delete it
