Linked Servers for Communities

I play with several communities in World of Warcraft. We have separate discords. We jump from one discord to the other from time to time. It would be cool if we could have a cross server linked voice and text chat. In such a way that both discords can have “Community Chat” & “Community Voice” in their individual pages but as they join in the individual pages they can see each other online on both servers voice channels via the linked channel. The reason why this is nice is that it would help people more easily see who is online and not complicate things when one side wants to gather people on one discord channel vs the other (for reasons like they want the new members to notice someone on voice chat to motivate them to join and see the whole group without making things too complicated.

 

I can imagine many uses for this when it comes to big channels so players can be connected across several channels.

    I can see that this might become an issue in terms of hosting. It also will definitely complicate things while making moderating these voice chats a bit of a pain. I see where you are coming from, but what is the point of having big community servers if you can just link a bunch of small personal servers in the first place? I'll imagine hosting other server voice channels will operate with the key or link, which leads to a whole question of who should be allowed to get the key and what if it gets leaked?
