Successor feature for Discord servers
Some services for IRCd used to have the functionality of having a successor for a channel, when the founder's nickname expired or was dropped while the channel was still registered, the successor would become the new founder of that channel.
It would be great to have a similar feature for Discord servers. The server owner can choose a successor who will replace the server owner after a long period of not logging in on Discord. Setting a successor should of course be optional and it would be great if there are some predefined values for the inactivity period from which server owner can choose from, these can be for e.g. 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months.
No one knows what will happen in the future, this would be a great feature in my opinion to keep the lovely community going even when we won't be there.

I think it's a good idea ...
But I think of another security which ensures that if the owner of the server is deactivated his account (because on my server several people have already lost their account when they have done nothing serious), that he There is an option so that in an emergency, the ownership is automatically transmitted to an alt or a person of extreme confidence.

Yes it would also be applicable in that situation! If anything happens to the server owner (deactivated, banned, inactive for a long conscutive period of time) the successor gets the server transferred to them.
