Toast Notification History List
I'm in 100 discords and if I don't catch the toast notification from a Discord then the message cannot be found again. You already have a mentions history that we can pull up. Why not have a notifications history where we can see past notifications (say 100 of the last ones), click on them and it will bring us to the correct Discord and jump straight to the post we missed?
Station has this for Discord but Station isn't very good. If these third party clients can do it than it would be really easy for you to do. Again, you already have it for mentions so just take the same idea and apply it to ALL the notifications we get in Discord.
Also to a lesser extent, Windows Action Center is trash. Perhaps don't use it and make your own toast notifications outside of Windows like Slack does.

Agree, currently the desktop notifications thing is super pointless and annoying. Constantly getting sound notifications just so I know, yes, somebody posted a message on discord. Now I just have to go through all servers and all channels to see if it was of interest.
Yes, there is a tiny toast notification displayed for a few seconds. That's great for times when you're actually able to hastily click on it. But then you have to decide between reading and clicking.

You can get the non-garbage toast notifications by telling the Discord.exe to run in Win 7 or 8 compatibility mode.

I think in the meantime Discord introduced the "Inbox". It's exactly what cop.supply asked for. Just click the little icon on the right side of the search bar.

Holy cow, I've been annoyed by this for a couple of months. The Inbox was there this whole time! If only it had the notification counter on it or something to be a bit more intuitive to find, it'd be perfect.
