All aspects of the new UI are awful
First off I'd like to point out that everything is cluttered now. There's way too much information and options hogging up the whole screen. It's way too busy. When you hover over anything it's even worse. New features and options are great, but not when you just slap them over the old perfectly usable interface.
The font colors and sizes are all off, especially the red "new" line which was a noticeable enough color before. Now it's bright as a laser, keen to take out your eyes with a blinding fury. Font wise, everything is harder to read now and quite honestly gives me a headache and makes me dizzy just focusing on it. My eyes are drawn everywhere but where they should be on the interface.
Everything is lower and displaced, I have to bend my neck or strain my eyes just to read it.This is all strenuous for me. Nothing is scaling properly and fits the way it should. It's terribly annoying and infuriating.
Why add random shortcut emote reactions? We're not incapable of knowing our emotes and selecting them. No one uses just 3. An extra unneeded waste of space. Speaking of reactions, why are there multiple clapping emotes right next to the search bar?
When using a browser instead of the client, certain messages and images are cut off while you have the members list open. Another scaling issue, that wasn't tested properly, or integrated correctly.
This whole update is riddled with problems, too many to list. It's causing substantial problems for everyone, some people more severely than others. Don't take this lightly, these are all serious issues and concerns, and the whole of it makes Discord a place many people don't want to be. Please roll it back or make a classic view option to view things the way they were before.

100% agree. Whatever they did to the text is just awful. It’s so claustrophobic now. I’m having a hard time reading anything now cuz of my dyslexia and it makes me feel physically ill.
I don’t even hate the idea of the emote shortcut. I just wish they would have left the “add reaction” and “more” buttons embedded next to the text and made the shortcuts a slide-out or pop up when you hover over “add reaction” instead of just an omnipresent focus point.

I agree with your feedback, Cupit.
I would also like to add to your list that colours/shades are sharper and more defined rather than muted like in the previous UI. I have trouble looking at these sharp colours/shades due to having disabilities with cognitive functions. I am not sure if I am the only one who noticed this, but it adds additional eye strain to issues you already have listed.

Absolutely agree. Especially the emoji reactions. Takes up way too much real estate. Is a nuisance. I don't need those recommendations and don't want them. It's the same 3 no matter where I am. That's hardly a suggestion.
