This would kind of be a new channel type.
It would be like a "homepage" for the server where you could have links to other sites/channels/servers and feature some new messages for example pinned messages or @ messages or even just random messages.
You could have a member count (or even role count: how many people have what role?).
Those are just my main ideas behind this feedback but the list would still go on.

  I actually really like this idea. It could even be used to post server rules and relevant links.
