When you delete your account, ALL your sent messages in ALL servers should be deleted.

I think one of discord's biggest issues is the inability to have your posts deleted. Sure, you can delete your own messages one by one if you're in a server. But what about messages in servers you are no longer in? You might have personal info (name, a photo of you, a link to social media, etc) and I no longer feel comfortable having that information out there, but there's nothing I can do because of discord's refusal to delete them, and i no longer have access to said servers. Having the whole "deleted user #000" doesn't solve a single thing as people can still very easily figure out its your messages. Honestly, even if the information sent isn't personal info, it doesn't matter. Deleting my account should, you know, actually delete things. It feels as though discord has put the absolute bare minimum in the way account "deletion" works. I dont want past messages in other people's servers! The fact that my messages will stay up after deletion honestly feels as though complete strangers have more control and access to MY OWN messages than I do. I have my own personal reasons for wanting my messages deleted. Ive faced abusive friend groups and knowing my messages would still show up in their servers eats me alive. It causes so much stress and pain, and there's nothing I can do about it. Let's take a look at how twitter handles account deletion (yes im aware twitter is kind of a disaster of a website but here im asking you to only focus on this specific aspect) When you delete you account on twitter, you account completely disappears. ALL your tweets get deleted, and people's DMs with you get deleted as well (sometimes they dont entirely dissapear but instead just delete all your sent messages and keep the other persons messages, which is still fine since it deleted your sent messages anyway) This is how discord should do it. I want to delete my account, but I want my things to ACTUALLY be deleted. Because right now, its more of an account archive rather than an account account deletion. I know this isn't a new suggestion by any means, and to be honest it makes me kind of angry that people have been begging for this for years and discord never does anything about it. Yeah sure custom statuses are cool but can you please give people the features they actually ask for? I dont want my abusers to see any of my messages. Please. (Before anyone tries to tell me to just report the users and their servers, I cant, because they never did anything to break discord tos/rules.) So, please. Deleted accounts should have all messages they've ever sent to be deleted. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    This is true someone could literally have posted something like cp and discord will still keep the messages intact after their account has been deleted

    I cannot understand why this feature has not been implemented yet, especially considering that EVERY user has the right to control their own data. Data privacy is a fundamental right, and it’s crucial for any platform to provide users with the tools they need to manage their personal information.

    With increasing concerns about data breaches and unauthorized use of personal data, it's more important than ever for companies to prioritize user privacy. Implementing features that give users greater control over their data should be a top priority.

    Every user deserves transparency and autonomy over how their data is collected, stored, and used. It's not just a matter of convenience—it's a matter of respecting user rights and maintaining trust.
