Small change to account = getting locked out of account?
So I made a very small name change to my Discord account and then like 4 hours later I was locked out of my account for not being phone verified? Is the reason I got locked out of my account because of a name change? I don't own a phone so I'm going to be locked out of my account for a while! Maybe Discord should add an option that people like me can click that says "I Don't Own a Phone" so this won't happen to anyone else. Besides I personally believe phone verification is just an extra, unnecessary step to using discord. Discord fix this and unlock my account!

You need wait 24 hours or until it will update to use phone number again
Anyway, my main "CircleBoi#6669" got phone locked which cause me to move to new acc but new acc got phone locked because i accepted too much friend requests in certain time which is dumb for me0 -
yea i'm dealing w the same thing, it did it first to my main account which i owned a server on and had for over a year, w a lot of memories. i confronted them about it and they said they can't talk off the verification. like why add a whole verification if you can't take it off for those who don't have a phone or apparently have an "invalid phone number". then on my second new account, which i've had for maybe two weeks, gets locked out while i'm just dming someone. i have no words. and everytime i email them, it's the same automated response over and over again.

Cant beleve this, discord wtf is this 2FA thing!!?!? as many dont have phones and find other devices that are better then a phone, and we dont truly know wat u r gonna do with our phones, and as mentoined before a hacker gets into our acc and puts in there phone number, as then our accs would be stolen, remove it pls, and many wouldnt hate discord, but many would love discord. also many wouldnt have broken hearts bc they cant ever see there friends again until they get a phone! id suggest if u wanna keep ur users, drop this whole 2FA thing, let us have our acc back, or let us have our acc back, and u add a button that says "dont have a phone" and we could tap that, and then our trubles would be over. pls fix this stupid 2FA thing! thx discord, and DO IT

Or, another thing, I understand that just simply adding a 'I don't have a phone button' completely defeats the point, but you can add a way to maybe use a verification through another platform, maybe steam?
