Two factor authentication account loss

So I have noticed more an more that people have been getting accidentally locked out of their account due to discord not giving a second option to get the access codes everyone needs to hear this so it can be fixed as fast as possible there should be a way for us to get account recovery codes sent through text or email I am not the first person this has happened to discord is the only media that requires you to download every one of the codes they give you while you're logged in or get locked out completely and totally with no recovery if you don't write them down or download them instantly when you get them which is very wrong with a 2 step authentication there should always be a back up way to recover anything even banks have this an Google an every other media platform I can think of so i would like to propose something that might be very helpful for the security of someones discord account. Right now you can add the two-factor auth with the help of apps like google auth or authy and that's great but I would like the option to receive codes from my email address or sms and the reason for that is these apps can really easily be the thing that protects your account or the one that loses your account, these apps are strange, you could get locked out of the account. Sending codes by email or sms seems the easier way to be safe and never lose access to an account so I would like to see the option to receive codes by email/sms aswell not only the current two-factor. Which locks you out the moment you lose your phone,break your phone,or have to factory reset it please take this highly into consideration and fix this problem Thank you!

    here is my story my email discord was changed for some reason and i didn't know about that since i join the discord  i never enable my discord auth code , after i recover my discord email, they did some mistake and i think everyone will have this issue not only me when i recover my email discord the enable the auth code on my account since i didn't enable it , so this mistake come for discord support guess what they said "we do have authorized to disable you auth code"

    i hope they fix this and i really hope do something with auth code in return I've send many email to them but they said "we do have authorized to disable you auth code" and i still trying but at last you can't do nothing

    i never heard such a company can't do something about auth code and they create it

    My suggestion to the Discord team is to get rid of the requirement for the Authy program.  These programs are unstable.  Better would be to email the code, or text the code to the phone.  I won't be setting up 2 factor until they get rid of the authy.  I just have a very hairy password.
