Believe I have been banned unjustly - any chance for me to appeal / explain it to someone?
I got an email today saying that my account has been disabled for "Your account sent malicious links or files to other individuals on Discord."
I'd like to appeal this,
I am sure this was in reference to a link I put in a discord group chat, this link was not malicious at all, it was a link (to a guide explaining how a LOIC works if i recall correctly) put through an IPLogger website, iplogger.org which shortens the link & displays the IP of users who have clicked the link. It is a legitimate website. The reasoning behind this? - I got added to a group chat of people who are claiming to be the people behind frequent DDOS attacks of a streamer & my friend and wanted to get their IPs to give to said streamer/friend to forward onto the correct people. I knew malicious links were against the Discord ToS, however i believe that that link was not malicious - no harm was (intended to be) caused, it wasn't a link to a download or a virus, and to nothing malware related, simply a link to a written guide put through an IPLogger website.
Furthermore, I have never received any warning emails about the matter to know it was a bannable offense and have never received any warning / temporary bans from Discord previously.
Thanks

Hello,
I understand that you recently received an email stating that your Discord account has been disabled for sending malicious links or files to other individuals. You believe that the link you shared in a group chat was not malicious and that you did not intend to cause harm.
While I appreciate your explanation of the situation, it's important to note that Discord's terms of service prohibit the use of IP loggers or any other tools that can be used to obtain another user's information without their consent. Regardless of your intentions, using an IP logger website to obtain the IPs of other Discord users is a violation of the platform's rules.
However, I understand that you would like to appeal this decision. You can try sending an email to Discord's support team explaining your situation and providing any additional information that you believe may be relevant. Keep in mind that while you may not have received a warning about this specific issue before, it's important to familiarize yourself with Discord's terms of service to avoid any future violations.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
