Prefix assing on Role
For Clan/Guild Discord servers where you have both Clan Members and Community Friends, it would be cool to see a feature where if you grant a Clan Member the role of "Member", and their nickname receives a Prefix along with the Role Color, for example: [M] (username)#1234. This helps visually identify someone without having to click on the user's profile to see the roles assigned to them.
The Prefix could be 1 to 4 characters long, encased in [Brackets], and tied to a Role. The Prefix would also inherit the same colour as the role it is assigned to.
Prefix' could be a toggle setting under the role like the "Allow anyone to @mention this role" setting.
i.e. "Enable Prefix for this role"
Clan Member > [M] username#1234
Community Friend > [F] username#1234
Guest > username#1234 (no prefix enabled)

You can just develop a bot to do this, or find someone who makes bots.

Thanks you for the reply, I'll look into it. But the suggestion is meant to also be taken into consideration for a core Discord feature, not to have to rely on 3rd party bots.

I doubt Discord is going to take this into consideration knowing that this feature is pretty easy to do with bots already, but good luck!

I agree with Syneiro. Discord should focus on adding features that can't be solved by bots and beneficial for a lot of people.
What you ask is basically a nickname changer with conditions. It can be solved easily by a bot. All you need to do is set the condition to the bot (if a command is used, if user has a specific role, et.) and say it shall change the users nickname to "[M] " + message.author.username

Heyo, so I just wanted to mention I do have a bot that does that. It's called the "Phoenix Rising Bot" currently. Sorry if this was a bit late.
Edit: Just search that term in Google, it should be the first result.0 -
Yes, I now have that bot in my server, but I'm not sure how to add a prefix? Any advice?
