Invites suggestion: account vetting
Temporary invites to control who joins is a decent feature, but it feels clunky and inconvenient at times. when you're trying to control who joins your server. Thus I am suggesting a new type of "open invite" function: it's an invite that everyone can click and attempt to join that isn't on a timer, but instead of the user entering instantly, the user is then sent to a "waiting for invite to be accepted" visual for the server. The server admin(s) can then manually accept the request to join the server. This feature would work not unlike requests to follow locked twitter accounts. To notify an admin of a new request to join, there would be a human symbol with a + next to it over or under the server's icon, with a number next to the + to show how many people are waiting to be accepted.
I understand that a similar function can be achieved by use of bots, where a new user is taken to an empty channel to be manually added to a role that allows access to the rest of the server, but it can be extremely clunky and unreliable to set up on occasion and new members can go forgotten if the admin(s) aren't on top of it. The invite visual would ensure that an admin can see a request to join even if they only glance over at their discord window briefly. No messing around with roles necessary when you can just click a check or an x to accept or deny entry.
