Damit man nicht so weit runter scrollen braucht, wenn ein Server viele Kanäle hat. So hat man ein besseren überblick.

So you don't have to scroll down so far if a server has many channels. So you have a better overview.

    The channels tab would get pretty wide. Have you tried using categories effectively? You can hide whole categories when they're not needed, and only have the most commonly used channels shwon. If you're a server owner, I would recommend using categories a lot with 3-6 channels in each category (any more will just result in the same problem as you mentioned; having many redundant channels open at the same time)
