[Fixed] Resetting password on mobile caused previously installed windows discord to get stuck on connecting screen

I had the discord windows app installed and had previously used it without issue. After I reset my password on the mobile android app, the windows app started getting stuck on the "connecting" window. The console didn't show anything abnormal. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling through the control panel, but that didn't work either. I didn't get any errors neither when uninstalling or reinstalling, but I still kept getting stuck on "connecting".

I eventually found this https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/209099387--Windows-Installer-Errors , which was helpful, and fixed my issues. :) Apparently the control panel uninstaller doesn't do a clean enough uninstall, I assume that the stored login details aren't deleted, so when I reinstalled, it was trying to use the same details.

Also, I couldn't access the settings screen or go to a login screen while discord was in this state, to be able to update the login details on this system.

Deleting the discord folders mentioned in the linked article above, then reinstalling, fixed the issue.

Posting to help any others that might run into this issue, and to possibly help developers improve this use case.
