Temporary to Permanent link status
I use temporary links for many of my servers so people can look around and get a feel for if they want to join the server, for example do they like the feeling of the community for my minecraft server or how my jurassic world alliance server is run, without having to worry about tons of servers building up and cluttering their discord. My intent is to have temporary links I can forward people and have a permanent link available in the rules channel as a sort of confirmation. I imagine it a bit like subreddits, you can visit and if you like what you see you can click the join button to become a a part of that community. I tried setting this up with the links but permanent links and temporary links don't play well and the permanent link won't work until they leave the discord and click a permanent link once they've left or restarted their discord. I realise that temporary users can be made permanent if they are assigned a role but I think it would be nice if they chose to join instead of reaching out to an admin and hoping one is online to add them or trying to find a bot to serve a similar role.
TL;DR Users who clicked a temporary link can't then use a permanent one to join a server without either trying to track down an admin/moderator to assign them a role or leaving the discord and getting a permanent link instead of clicking the permanent link in the server. Permanent links should override temporary status.
