Cannot assign roles or change nicknames being an administrator

I created a role admins and granted that role all the permissions available on the role configuration page.

Now people with that role cannot assign some roles to some (regular) users or change their nicknames.

This looks totally random, i.e. I cannot tell any difference between users available for any roles/nicknames modifications and those who are restructed in some way.

Any ideas?

  Is the user that is changing the nicknames below the user who's nickname is being changed?

  Unfortunately discord doesn't clearly communicate that you can't modify users with the same role as you. It would be great to see this added as a server option so we have the choice!

  The server owner can fix it.
  1) manage server
  2) roles
  3) drag the admin role to the top
