I am here because I have some slight hope that someone will read this and can see the situation for what it is and have some humanity and help

My Brother has been very distraught lately and I asked him what the matter is and after some time he explained to me that his discord account has been disabled and he has lost all contact to his friends, he doen't have their names wrtitten down and he doesn't know what to do

I know this may seem strange me on here messaging for my 24 year old little brother but he is Austistic, aspergers to be specfic so to say his ability to comprehend things like this are very limited, after years of attempts to get him to comunicate with anyone in the family nevermind other people we found that his non-verbal commuication with people in person were not the same as with people online,

For whatever reason he took to discord like a duck to water and there was absoultly nothing stopping him when he is communating via text and with people that he found a communaction connection with so we hooked him up with Nitro and credit, got him a phone so he can register his number and have 2fa, no way were we going to risk something happening to his account

He found out about mulitplayer games and for years now he has been meeting and making friends online through discord and playing games with them and it has been a noticable difference,

I asked him to email discord support and all he got was a blanket reply, you broke our TOS,

He just keeps asking me what did I do ? I don't understand I never would do anything wrong, all my friends are on discord

I aksed him to email them back and ask them what did i do wrong and explain your situation, so he did and he got told the exact same response

I figured they are really busy espically in the current situation and tried to explain to him he won't get his account back and that he should setup another account

He doesn't have any of the servers he was joined too or his friends written down and I am sure there was loads of them, he is scared to setup a new account becasue he does not have any idea what he did wrong and the thoughts of this happening again too

I asked him to email again to say what did I do wrong and can i please get my data of contacts etc

Hello,

When an account is disabled, all associated data is scheduled for deletion or anonymization, and is therefore unavailable for user request.

When I seeen his reaction I knew the email wasn't good but to send just that is not fair, I am biased I understand that but to not tell a paying member of your service for years why they have become banned and offer no explanation and then when they reach out for help

I read a blogpost from discord and I thought it would be dealt with similar to the statment, I pasted it below 

Surely after paying subscriptoins for years you are entitled to be told why you were suspened or am I thinking wrong?

Does anyone know if anything can be done to just get an explanation as to why he was banned so he can understand on what happened and how to make sure it doesn't happen again

Every user can appeal actions taken against their accounts. We think that appeals are an important part of the process. Just as you deserve a chance to be heard when action is taken against you in a judicial system, you should have such a chance to be heard when some action is taken against your Discord account.

While we weren’t able to prepare the number of appeals made and total granted in this transparency report, we’re looking to add it in future reports. However, through a recent audit of a thousand harassment bans through the first three months of 2019, only two were overturned. Our system, with its emphasis on manual review of a messages context stresses being confident before we take action on an account, so we expect this number to be quite low. We’re not perfect and mistakes may happen even though we go to great lengths to ensure that we’re only taking action when it’s warranted. "
