Make a verified Discord Moderator Badge
This suggestion would create a badge on a user's profile and community of experienced and famous moderators on the platform. The same way one can apply for Verified Bot Developer and Discord Partner, they would be able to apply for this position and the main factor would be previous experience moderating / managing large discord servers. This would reward said staff members of communities with a badge that makes them stand out from regular users on discord, as well as showing everyone that goes on their profile that they are a verified moderator and know what they are talking about. This would also reduce if not eliminate people's ability to impersonate staff members, since almost all staff members of large servers would be in the program. There would be no rewards other than the badge, and if Discord feels like dedicating some more time to the suggestion then they could make a Verified Mods only discord server the same way there is one for partners. This server could be used to brainstorm new suggestions for servers, testing new features, etc. I'm not really advocating for the server, there are other ways for that. I'm mainly suggesting the badge. Let me know what you think in the comments and upvote if you agree.

I can see where you are coming from and totally agree with this. Server moderators are important to Discord and its servers. They are "required" in a way, because Discord's TOS require that servers moderate for rule breakers. So why not make a badge for this? It shows that you are an important member on Discord, because moderators help make it a better place to chat. However, I also feel like some issues can arise with this system. One of them is if a server feels the need to fire one of their moderators. I'm thinking that in large servers, the server owner could create a role where if you get the role, you also automatically receive the badge, and vice versa. Another problem that can arise is if people who have this badge use it to do bad, such as intentionally and willfully spread misinformation. Mark stated in this post: "...showing everyone that goes on their profile that they are a verified moderator and know what they are talking about." This is just what people believe when they see a person with this badge. So, in the event that a moderator decides to spread misinformation (or spread it unknowingly [which, by the way, both are very unlikely]), people are more likely to believe it. But overall, I am not trying to say that this is a bad suggestion. I am just trying to express my thoughts and opinions on how this is good, and issues that can be improved upon. I believe this is a great suggestion that Discord could consider upon.

I get where this is going. Being a bot developer can be challenging, but so can moderating a Discord server where some people come to just troll. I like the idea.

can be abused, only being suggested as person suggesting is staff in a partnered server and discord already has this in another form

ok sure

An authentic way to determent skilled moderators.

Maybe just have it visible for the server that they are moderating on? And as someone else said, link it to a role / setting.

+ 1 for such a great suggestion..

Probably not a good idea, the only badges necessary are the nitro and staff badges.

I'm Korean. I want to be a discord partner, because i've seen a server that breaks the rules. So I want to sanction that server. I'll do my best. I'd appreciate it if you'd appoint me as a disco partner.

Not quite there yet but that's the first step! That's one way to decide who would qualify for it. Easily do-able now. Fingers crossed, let's hope it happens soon!
