Server Phone Verification

Discord Developer Team, I'd suggest that you remove the discord server phone verification feature because some people don't have a phone number or they are on a landline phone and it will be really stressful when you can't chat on your favorite game server or your favorite bot server just because of a phone verification feature

    I have VOIP and i will never take a tracked SIM card related line. It is none of Discord business to judge which kind of phone anyone use. This is abject.

    Phone verification at highest server level must be replaced by 4 options:

    a. Text message to a validated cell phone with a verification code to be entered in to the box on a prompt screen (as it is now)

    b. Voice call to validated phone number in customer's profile with a verification code spoken by a robot voice which is then entered in the box on a prompt screen. Phone may be any physical type previously verified by voice call code when user initially registers with Discord. Several phone numbers may entered and validated when the user registers with Discord. A list of validated phone numbers (last four digits) is presented, the user chooses which registered phone number to use, and then that phone is called with the voice code given twice.

    c. Send verification code to an email address which was validated when the user registered initially with Discord. The code is then typed in to a box on screen to complete the current verification process. User may register and validate several email addresses when s/he registers with Discord and a list of addresses with only the first two and last two characters of the email plus just the domain name of the address is presented which the user then selects one to receive the code in an email.

    d. User registers answers to 3 to 5 questions which the user chooses when registering with Discord. Then to verify current connection, several of the questions in the user's profile are posted on screen with an answer box for each. The user enters the prerecorded answer to each question in the corresponding answer box. If all answers match what is in the user's profile, that user is verified for the server s/he is trying to connect to.

    This will allow anyone who may not have a text message enabled cell phone or no cell phone service at the person's present location to select which of the four option s/he can use at the moment to verify his/her identity.

    Similar choices should be given for verification of the user at each verification level designated by the server owner.

    I just want to say World Traveler's suggestion would be PERFECT to implement for those of us (Myself included) that do not have a "valid" SIMS-capable service. My Google Voice number is regarded as invalid, despite being 100% compliant with the SMS-messanging system. Talk about discrimination here.

    I use the same Google Voice number on my Twitter account with ZERO problems (Even getting all the texts from 40404 with no problems at all!)

    Please implement some other method or begin allowing Google Voice numbers to verify identities as the stupid trash setting on server admins' side requires.

    SO HOW DO I GET MY ACCOUNT BACK...MY FRIEND ASK ME TO JOIN THE SERVER AND I DONT HAVE A PHONE NUMBER...AND THAT SERVER NEEDS A PHONE NUMBER VERIFCATION...AND NOW IM STUCK..CAN ANYONE HELP ME GET MY ACCOUNT BACK TO NORMAL???PLS
