Permissions visualization

If you need to check permissions you can create another account and log in via browser or phone. (that's what I do)
Or just ask your friend to assist you, give them the needed role, and do the settings. Cheers!0 -
That's what I've been doing too. To me this is more a workaround than a proper solution. The fact that we need a second account just to manage permissions effectively is a sign that the app is missing a feature.

Good idea! Admins should be able to select any role below them in the role menu and enter a server testing mode to test out permissions for that role.

Like a "Role Preview" mode. I approve. :)
This is the feedback I had submitted in previous versions:
I'd *love* for there to be a way to see the effective permissions for any given channel (text or voice). Eg: right click a channel, select "(View) Effective Permissions" and a permissions dialog shows up (in which you *can't* change anything) which shows which usergroups have what permissions on that channel. This means that the "/" (inherit) option doesn't show up - it doesn't have any meaning in this context. Also, if you hover or click on a specific permission, the "Effective Permissions" dialog will tell you which permissions is causing that value to be set (eg: is it a user specific, channel, group, role, etc).
