New members who join a server can't send DMs to other server members (too many AD BOTS ruining servers)

Yes! Possibly also a way to stop an unverified role from seeing server members through the API could also help to mitigate this problem

Agreed, would love to see a hidable member list permission, that would help solve this issue, or at the very least decrease the amount of spam bots.

Yes, a permission would be great, but it would have to not work like channel hiding, because client mods can still see information there. It's also hard to know what it would do if you saw a message from that user. Would it show them in the list then? Would it just ignore it and not show them? Perhaps it could show the user as 'anon' or something?

Perhaps there could also be a permission for 'be seen by everyone', so admins could still be seen, or modmail bots could still be accessed etc. It should definately be a permission that isn't given with admin like display role separately or something (although should not just be the display role separately permission)

... 100% something to consider though
