Separate desktop notification toggle from Do Not Disturb

Nope

I have never used the do not disturb status as do not disturb, I usually just use it when I'm away from my computer. It'd make a lot of sense if you could toggle desktop notifications separately.

    I only use Do not Disturb for no notifications. This seems cool
