Banned user can just create new Discord account and join the server again
It's really annoying how banned users (spammers, trolls etc.) join the server again and again and current banned system can't protect servers from it.
Support answered that banned user is banned by IP, but nothing prevents them to change their IP (VPN or whatever) and join server with a new account.
My suggestion is we should be able to ban by phone number and/or MAC address, so users couldn't join again. Of course they can use new account and by new SIM-card, but it will be harder than now for sure.

Banning by phone number is useless because people either don't link their phone numbers or use disposable phone numbers (which are free).
Banning by MAC address wouldn't work either because it's easily spoofed with free software that exists.

I would add Discord bots like "Alt Defender" (for detecting alts) and "Auttaja" (for spammers) - or raise your server's verification level higher until the troller gives up..
- I do agree they need to add a better system but there would be no way to ban by phone number (as most accounts won't have them) as for MAC address that would open a security risk for Discord imo.. So I doubt that would be added..0 -
I was banned and managed to sign up under the same Email again. Discord doesn't take bans seriously at all. I knew someone who had been suspended at least 2 times in 3 months. The best option would be to use bots to moderate entry into your server, as the previous user suggested.

I was banned and kicked out of a server in which I disclosed some personal information. I want to delete the messages and now I can't join the server anymore. Please what can I do?

If you turn on that users has to have verified their number in your server settings, the person will not be able to reuse the number that they got banned with. Getting new numbers is harder to do, and usually isn't worth it in the long run. MAC address is tied to hardware, but can easily be spoofed in a VM.

And MAC addresses aren't accessible by websites, so you would have to ban a whole chunk of discord users of the platform. MAC addresses are also not verifiable, so a malicious actor could just modify the requests sent to Discord servers

Sim cards are free on carrier stores so they can get whatever they want and create a new discord account
and also they can easily create a new email address and create new discord account without phone number

Discord banned me because they thought I had been posting cp when really I've been emailing them to take down the server that's been selling them for almost a week. I was in a server that was healthy and safe for me where I found friends that were starting to actually help me get better.
And I get banned because of something beyond my control. I really would like to appeal my case because this is ridiculous.

So basically I got banned from a discord server I made another email and discord account and deleted my discord account that I was banned from the server I was in ,so what happens if I make a new email and new account and deleted my account I was banned from the server, will I be able to access the discord server from my new account? Also how long does deleting accounts take? I've already deleted it does it mean it has been FULLY deleted? Please answer.

Good point, although I'm more concerned with the rights of the users being attacked. I've come across this post after I was hacked and banned right after someone spammed everybody from my account.
Really don't know what to do as I just don't want to create a new profile and use a VPN like I'm hiding from something. Few admins who were in my DMs are got notified already so hopefully I restore subscription to some of the channels. I also sent a trust&safety message to Discord but not sure if it's the right way to solve the problem.
It's obvious I'm not a spammer, since all my messages prior to the spam attack are totally topic-related, but there's nobody I'm able to show that to, and no mechanism to prove that. There's no tool to re-verify and restore the identity.
So it's that the user rights are completely not protected in all that ban story.0 -
