Prebanning users on moderated server
Give the moderators the option to ban someone who hasn't joined the server, yet.
This way you can protect a server before bad things happen, for example bot attacks, which happens often. I know some attacks are bots of 100, but there are some that are just 3, which could be easily handled with the requested. And yes I know there are bots that works for this feature, but why are we forced to have a bot for a function that is so simple.
The way this can be achieved would be either a chat command (/ban @UserID), or an option under the Ban tab in server settings.
There is a function with the user ID, where it will allow you to highlight their name and you can then ban them. The issue is with the cache. The user has to have been on a server you are in, before you can ban them. If you just tag their ID you will simply just get a blue text, but you can't right click on it and ban the user like you would with a user on the server, it will just be a plain text which looks like tag.
The mentioned method is fine, when it works. But when it doesn't work, make it an option under the "Server > Settings > Bans" where you would have an option called "Add to ban list".
It could look something like this
Server > Settings > Bans
This shows you all the bans the server currently have. Here you have the option to click on the blue button "Add to ban list".
This will pop up the below window, which allows a UserID or User#12345 tag to be typed in. It will then show you the list of users, where you have the option to click on the user you would like to ban.
This will help tremendously for mods trying to protect the server they are on.
So please implement this feature that should have been there from the start, it will make life so much easier for the mods. Thank you in advance.
