Delete messages, both in server and dms, of deleted accounts.
This option has been asked for by numerous of people and for years now yet it is continuously over looked. I'm a bit disappointed in how heavily it's overlooked to begin with. I feel that this option should have been given, but it's most definitely important now as discord continues to grow during this pandemic and their goal of wanting to be used for more than just gaming.
Deleted accounts should have their messages deleted in both dms and severs, even group chats. This is for safety reasons more than anything as putting the user as anonymous is simply not enough in many cases. It is very easy for someone to figure out who the 'anonymous' user was / is, and sometimes the messages, links, or pictures left behind by the user can make them extremely trackable, even if the user didn't leave anything sensitive. I don't understand how or even why discord allows the messages to remain while wiping out everything else. It's really up to luck if those who are searching / witch hunting the user forgets about them and drop it. It's entirely to easy to track people these days digitally with very little to nothing. Every other website and social media app does this when you delete an account for the most part. Why not discord? Discord is growing in popularity and usage, and more kids are using this app as well that tend to overshare. This feature would be great for their safety as well.
This request in feedback has been mentioned time and time again, voted for multiple times, and been requested for years. Why has nothing changed? Even if you guys implement this change in the near future, I feel as though EVERY past deleted account should have their messages removed, and not just those who plan on deleting their account in the future after you put (if you do) this down as a feature.
Also, there should be a better method of deleting messages in general, rather than clicking one message at a time to delete things, there should be a bulk delete option with at least 5 messages at once to delete.Discord please look into and consider this option for users.

I agree with this discord should really add this feature it one of the most ask feature for discord. Many people ask for this feature post in feedback, made requests also support other people post but discord do nothing. Discord is going fast and changing discord should delete massages from deleted users it are right to do what we want with are massages and data we want are massages to be deleted there no reason for are massages to say on discord after we delete account.

I agree with you completely. You said everything that I thought. In 2018, I was falsely accused of serious things, because there was someone who misunderstood my intentions. I received an "apology" for what was said about me, but they continued to spread misinformation even afterwards. Unfortunately, I deleted all of my messages maybe about a year after the incident happened (nothing incriminating), because I wanted to try and forget about the situation. I have now realized that the direct messages can still be accessed from the other people, and they could probably suggest that the reason why I deleted all of my messages was due to them incriminating me (not true). I suffer even more from anxiety and depression now out of fear of it ruining my credibility in future endeavors (i.e. career(s)). Discord needs to protect its users right to privacy. I don't feel safe anymore.

I agree with you.
I'd like that feature for private messages or servers you leave as well, even if you still own your Discord account.Once I met a nice person with similar interests so we chatted a lot. I also told them some stuff they could use against me and send a picture of me after some months... One day they turned out to be pretty creepy and I just wish I could delete all of my messages in that chat, and preferably even theirs. I tried my best to delete everything that could be misunderstood, just in case. And I left the server where I met them and tried to erase every trace of me, but a bot pinged me once and now everyone on that server could find me ...
