audit log lets you restore deleted channels
recently, some channels in a server were accidentally deleted. the server was a private one between just a friend and I, and the friend didn't know I needed the text in one of those servers for a project I'm doing. the audit log is like a taunting tab, showing me when it was deleted and not any way to back out of that. on a platform like discord, where you put your faith in other people to help you run your servers, there should be some sort of option in the audit log to say, "actually I don't want to delete this". there are so many people who've struggled with drunk mods going off or have had fights with a mod and as revenge, the mod deleted a whole bunch of channels or even hackers. there needs to be some sort of safety net, like computers have.

Well, you can only restore the channel not it’s messages.

Mridul i just deleted a poketwo channel instead of the beycord channel which i intended to delete, there was hundreds of pins with legendary and mythical pokemon and it was hard for me to explain to the pokemon fans and the owner, this got my mod taken away and it really sucks because im the one who put poketwo in the server and enjoyed it;-; idk what imma do

We got raided today and lost half of channels during it due to a hack they did using a bot- and now we lost 90% of our roleplay and im genuinely pissed off- I wish Discord has a restore button on channels so I could bring them back easily-

I had a server for my class which we had notes in one of my friends raided it as revenge for some reason and deleted all the notes channels and I have exams in 2 weeks

We managed to one in a million accidentally delete our most used text channel and I'm absolutely gutted..

Hello! I know that many users had talked to you about this issue and I'm going to do it too becouse maybe if enough people do it you will fix it. It's about deleting channels. Often there are channels deleted by mistake, channels deleted by someone in the moderation out of revenge of some sort maybe after a fight, there are hackers and bots that specialize in deleting channels! And there are many more ways to lost a channel that is often a really valuable part of the server. There are memories, conversations and feelings on those channels that becouse of this issue we won't be able to get back. Some people lose YEARS of conversation becouse of a stupid mistake or a troll. We, the people upset by this problem propose that the channels that were deleted will be available to recover for a certain amount of time before the "true deletion" (which is the moment where the channels are no longer available to be recovered).

Ugg, I accidentally deleted a very important channel today. It had years of conversation and memories and all that in it. I had clicked on a different channel and clicked delete and thought I was deleting an old channel that hadn't been used in ages. But because I right clicked instead of left clicking first, the channel I was actually IN was deleted instead of the channel I was clicking on. FML.

Someone accidentally deleted our main text channel. The main channel. Completely by accident, but it was still deleted. I wish there was an "ask other mods" option or a 14 day restoration period. It's in the audit log. Let it come back.

I accidentally deleted a channel that i use for transferring images one device to another, then i placed some pretty important images there, and i didnt have any other copies as i thought i would never need one. I accidentally deleted it. Over a hundred images and files i've compiled for almost 2 years, gone. It's my fault though i know. I just wish i could see those images more times as I miss the person in them.

Why is this still not a feature?
There needs to be a grace period for channel deletion.
Deleting a channel has a huge impact in a server and if it's done accidentally it's even worse. So many messages you can't reference back.
