Stop pushing untested feature updates to live environments at random without patch notes, and without consistency between users/servers.
It would be different if there were beta server spaces where features could be rolled out specifically to people who have agreed to test them. But that's not how it's done. Discord pushes updates to random servers and users with absolutely no warning.
This is an entirely unprofessional and unreasonable software development behaviour and has been playing havoc with the active server management workflow for months, if not years.
When Manage Roles suddenly gained the ability to edit channel permissions, we had to reconfigure every channel our role management team could see so they could no longer manage permissions. No patch notes.
Now stickers have rolled out, slowly and messily, to everyone. With them comes the ability for Nitro users to post external stickers even if the external emojis permission is turned off. Because some servers don't have the ability to restrict external stickers, and some do, and sometimes it depends which administrator is looking at the dashboard as to whether it's a setting or not. No patch notes.
This kind of development behaviour, even on a free platform, is unacceptable in 2021.
Do better.
