Media Only Channels

A lot of communities have text channels where there soul intention is to have it media only.

The problem is that there are no media only channels on Discord. If you want a media only channel then you have to either delete all messages that don't include a file or have a bot do it for you. The problem with both of these is that users don't understand why their message was deleted. Another problem with using text channels like this is that it is not visually designed to be used for solely media.

The answer is Media Only Channels.

A media only channel would allow for both a beautiful visual experience and a posting experience that explains to the user that this channel is media only.

Here is an example image of what a media only channel would look like. Just imagine that the server banners are replaced with the image/video and the icons are replaced with the users avatar. The server names and description could be replaced with the users comment and username.

Each media post could have have its own comment section were people can comment on the post.

A bonus would be adding a filter button to filter the posts from:

• Newest to oldest
• Recent activity (Posts with the latest comments)
• Hot
• Oldest to newest
