Having to verify both Email and Phone for a Discord Alt

I need to test something for a Discord Bot. So I recently tried to open a new alt and was notified that I needed to verify through email or phone number to prevent bots. Oooo-kay.

So I verified by email, a new throwaway gmail.

After 10 seconds or so it says, again, that my account is suspicious. This time I can't verify through email and have to do so through phone number. Problem is, I only have 1. Like if you need anti-bot why verify through all 2? It's not like alts aren't allowed?

I hope Discord solves this problem and that I only need to verify email for new alts from now on.
