Individual Server Identity

The beta option for setting custom server identity is such a cool idea, if only it was actually available to all users like the recent update claimed it was. I understand it's a beta, but my aggravation lies in being led to believe one thing I thought would finally be available to me after 3 or more months, only to see that is STILL isn't.
