enable users to mute notifications like @everyone on a per channel, not per server, basis

Lots of servers use @everyone both for important announcements I want to hear, and for random stuff I don't want to be notified for (tweets, subtopics I don't care about). As a user on many discords, this is extremely annoying. Please allow me to block all notifications from specific channels without blocking notifications on the whole server.
