Google Authentication not working with Discord

For some reason, the google authentication app codes that they give every minute, never works with discord.

I type in the number multiple times before it changes and each time it says that it isn't working, this has been happening for months and I've been forced to use my backup codes for when I want to log into a mobile device. Its frustrating and truthfully, I have no I idea how this could be solved.

And just to make sure this possibility is ruled out, yes I have checked the same email I use for the auth app, is the same email the discord account is linked to, nothing changes, it still won't work.

Could we please try and figure this out? Thanks!
