Too many alt accounts

All accounts should be verified by a phone number as people make too many alts just to get free rewards and troll people, discord was a chat for gamers and not a place where you make servers and troll the community. If per account has phone number verified, and used only once, the alt accounts will be removed if not verified.

    You can totally do that,but dont write in settings phone number "optional",if i knew my account would be locked if i didnt verify with phone number,i would have ofc given my phone number,now my account is locked for whatever reason and im still waiting for answer from the support team

    You can set this setting for your own server.

    Steps to do so:

     

    Step 1: Click on the Dropdown Arrow of your server

    Step 2: Click on **Moderation**

    Step 3: Choose the option which prefers you

    After you enable this, users won't be able to talk/react to msgs unless they have successfully completed the type of verification you select (users who have a role bypass this). This is a very good way to prevent alt accounts.
