phone verification not working

I only have one account, and when I try and verify my number to use a discord server it says my number is in use on another account. I don't have another account. I added my number to my account but took it off a few minutes later. Now when I add it again it says it's used on another account.

  This is a nightmare. I've been with Discord for 6 years and now to lose all discord servers and ability to maintain contacts  . . .the situation is unacceptable. There is no legitimate way to recover e-mail or phone based on my profile name, and the support are no real people who interact with real questions, just an endless loop of articles and screenshots.

  If you are experiencing trouble with your Google Authenticator code and you are using an Android phone, it might be because the time on your Google Authenticator app is not synced correctly.
