Display the number of Server Boosts that a server is losing.
I'm not going to lie, I feel cheated by Discord in this situation.
The dialog box that says, "Oh no! Your server is going to lose a level!" prompts you to "check your server's status for details". You click on "Check Status" and it takes you to the Server Boosts page… where it says you have as many boosts as before. There apparently is no way to see exactly how many boosts the server is going to lose after the three-day grace period.
We have 16 boosts and it seemed preposterous to me that we'd lost more than 3 boosts all at once, especially because I was already responsible for seven of them. I checked our Server Insights and found that our vanity link is actually responsible for a fair bit of traffic, so I added an eighth boost, hoping that it would save our Level 3. It did not; the dialog box is still there.
No, actually, as I wrote this post, I later checked back and the dialog box disappeared after about 10-15 minutes. So now I'm honestly not sure if we're in the clear or not. Which is exactly the problem! Now we have "17" boosts but I know that's going to be 14 or less in a day. How much less?
I would have saved my money until later if I knew it wouldn't even help. And two days have passed so it's too late for me to drum up support from other members. We could dip below Level 3 and this was actually the advice given to me in the r/discordapp subreddit — to wait for the grace period to end and see.
This is completely unacceptable however because, theoretically, another server could "snipe" our vanity URL in that time. While I don't expect that to happen, it's easy.
Regardless of that, what am I supposed to tell my members while begging for donations? They'll say "how much" and the best I can tell them is "I don't know"?
My yearly bill for Discord is now in the three hundreds of dollars. I've never regretted a cent until now. As a very avid user, subscriber, and owner of a Discord community, I emphatically ask Discord to make this information plainly obvious. It really should be as simple as the boosts existing in real-time while the benefits have a three-day grace period, and not the boosts themselves. In that grace period, I should know exactly how many boosts under the Level we are, but we still have our perks.
