  Generally speaking, you should avoid associating personal information or SMS verifications with friends accounts.
  Reverting the above can sometimes be difficult, and so you have to politely tell your friend no.

  To have this resolved, try making a ticket under category 'phone verification': Submit a ticket

  I send a request a month ago with the exact same topic, except it was my own secondary account. My phone number is invalid for a month now counting.
