2FA lockout/Phone verification

Here's the issue Discord,

When you only allow one phone number to be linked to an account, and the worst happens. You change a password, get locked out of your account, don't have your authentication app because you changed your phone and it's logged out, don't have your 2FA codes backed up because it's been years since you made the account.

And then you can't log in or make a new account, because "this phone number is already in use", except you can't access the account it's linked to because you're locked out. What the actual hell? This isn't fort knox, it's not my bank statements. Let me have access to my account.

To top it off, if you manage to get in touch with someone via Email at Discord, it takes multiple DAYS to get a response. AND THEN, once you do get to a solution, you are told "it'll take up to 15 days for your account to be deleted". Are you insane? Delete the account when you're told to, for the love of God. Just delete the account. Or get rid of the Phone verification lockouts.

This has been a topic of conversation for YEARS now. And we've seen ZERO attempts to rectify it.

I made a post similar to this, its an absolute joke that they aren't willing to help with 2fa lockout issues. As you say its literally a discord account not some high security prison like it wouldn't be hard for them to do it if you can provide proof it belongs to you. Still cant believe a company worth 7$ billion doesnt even have a live support feature. Seems like they dont want to help to me rather than they cant.
