Discord Varification with phone? (HELP PLZ)

When I tried verifying I realized I didn't have a phone number, I didn't think it would be required to have a phone number to use the app.... and I currently have no way to get my account back, ive seen many others experience this and I'm wondering why I cannot use an SMS... Discord acts as if the 2 CATCHMA and emails sent were not enough to verify that I'm a human...
