Discord account was hacked, hacker changed the password and enabled 2FA

As the title says, my friend's account was compromised and the person who did it immediately changed the password and enabled 2FA. At present, my friend has no way of accessing the account or reverting the changes. He still has access to the account linked email. A support ticket has been submitted but no response yet.

After googling for a bit, it's apparent that Discord's policy is that 2FA cannot be removed by them and they can't send you back-up codes. Would it be possible to make an exception for this rule since 2FA was turned on by an unauthorized malicious third party? Has anyone at all succeeded in retrieving their account through Discord support after being locked out from 2FA?

    I got auth-token hacked and discord has rejected me even though I had evidence of being hacked and not having MFA/2FA activated till the hacker activated it. I keep getting a “We can’t remove it due to privacy and safety reasons” even after sending in my ID. Discord is terrible when it comes to helping the community; If they actually took the evidence into consideration maybe they’d have better votes than negative.

    I've been rejected 4 times now with nothing but automated/copy paste messages saying nothing more can be done. I've yet to have any semblance of a conversation and it makes me sad that they refuse to help others and myself with token theft cases, even though they've helped this type of case before. I was an idiot to get hacked and trust a “friend”, but even more so for not saving my backup codes on my new computer, and I'm not even sure if my old one has them either q.q It feels hopeless even with the years of transaction numbers between my paypal, email, and discord, the proof of ownership to all my old connections on the account with the same email, and even that my authenticator app is still producing codes for my old 2fa of my hacked account. ;-;
