TOS: "Malicious Reporting"
So I've got a question about the malicious reporting.
When my account got hacked, I had to try three different times to reach out to staff because they took far too long to handle the situation. A lot of sensitive information between myself and the clients I work with may have gone out.
The first time I reached out to them, I contacted them using the current e-mail I was using moments before the hacker took over. Apparently they didn't believe me, and left out an important detail that was not relayed to me which might've cleared up this mess which I will get to in a moment. The second time I reached out to them, I had to reach out using my alternate account because by now the hacker completely locked me out. They would then tell me, 'Oh, you have to use the original e-mail to get this squared away.'
Like, jee, thanks; in the month and a half it took waiting on my ticket I would've loved to have known that. So now, ticket no. 3 and no reply. The hacker's damage had been done and he likely shut down the account themselves with Discord not informing me that they did anything. I wasn't even notified if somebody reported the hacker on my behalf, so I have no idea what even happened.
So with this TOS in place, I get the impression that by 'malicious reporting', if I try to stress the importance of what the damage this hacked account could cause-- would Discord effectively think I'm just spamming their inbox and just simply choose to shut me down if they think I'm annoying?
Having an account that is hacked isn't funny when there's a lot on the line. It's more than just 'oh well you shouldn't have gotten into that mess'.
If something were to happen to me again [and I will most certainly be very careful not to this time], the recent TOS/blog update about safety comes off more like "We have the right to think you're just BSing and so we'll shut you down too".
Discord's main concern should be quicker staff service and transparency, because I received virtually zero help from your, presumably, "understaffed" service.
