Everyone should be concerned about this
I have been using Discord since 2016. I started off using it for academics, then slowly got into meme culture and Emoji usage. I later made my own servers and networks dedicated to creating emotes, emojis, and various artwork.
I structured the servers to be very proactive about annoyances, disruptions, and areas of concern. We strongly supported the Discord Terms of Service in our work.
On 04/26/2022, I received an email stating
"Your account sent threats to others, participated in targeted harassment, incited violence against individuals or communities, or was involved in a server dedicated to these behaviors."
I wrote the following response (please take a moment to read it)
"
To address the first element of threatening others, I can confirm that I have not done so, ever in my life. I have made no threats to others, not to their physical well-being, not to their emotional well-being, nor their financial well-being. I have always represented in my actions that no one has the right to violate another person in these ways, which has been very clear in my behaviors in discord, including the several submitted tickets to Support about harmful content and threats in Discord.
Next, the email states that I participated in targeted harassment. This is incredibly false and unfounded. I have not done so in any fashion.
Third, it states I may have incited violence against another community or individuals. This is anything but the truth. I do not, nor have I fostered violence against another person, community, ethnicity, or any other identifying factor. The accusation that I have is simply unfounded.
Lastly it states that I was in a server that may have done one of those things. That may be unintentionally true. I was in at least 30 servers. Very few of them do I take any active role in. I have made my own servers which I use to foster creation of art, memes, and other content that the community enjoys. This server has very strict, and a substantial support of moderators to prevent not only Discord Violations, but moral violations , such as those who may do the violations the email mentioned.
My actions have never represented wrong doing against the Terms of Service. What I suspect may have happened was being a mod in a discord server which covers content related to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I have had a very limited (exceptionally limited) role as a moderator in that server. I responded on occasion to pings of the role to address minor concerns.
I frequently advocated more staff was needed to address the pings. I was under the assumption that Doeke, the owner was in agreement. Subsequently, while I was in this server I was not aware any specific content which violated the above terms.
I was not aware, nor did I participate in any of the violations mentioned in this email. My actions have never represented these behaviors, my servers and ability to control these violations has been on-point. I have handled the issues I was aware of and will continue to fully commit to that.
I have been using Discord as an online art appreciation / meme content access. This ban/disabled account appears to have been a mistake and clearly does not represent any action or behavior taken by me.
I am writing to request that Discord urgently reconsider this as it appears to have been a "blanket ban" which subsequently does not represent me, nor my character with the accusations or violations it has assessed.
Thank you

Clyde replied stating they would not unban me.
I fully represent to the community that I did not take up any action which violated these areas of the Terms of Service. You may not believe me, but that's ok.
I am telling you in good faith that these allegations are false, and for some unknown or unobserved reason Discord will not unban my account per the response from Clyde (the bot it appears).
Discord does not provide evidence about your behaviors and how they have assessed it against their terms of service. In this case, it was a blatantly lie and does not represent anything I have personally done on Discord. I'm at a total loss of understanding about this, and just take note that this happened, if it happens to your friends, believe them.
Discord has violated their own Terms of Service to take action against my account with complete lies and trumped up accusations without providing any evidence to their claims. This is a complete disregard for it's users, and represents an incredible lack of attention to their behaviors.

Only thing we can do is make new accounts and get other people banned too.

Update:
Discord marked my ticket as solved without updating or commenting as to a response why it was solved. After 12 days of being an open ticket, my account is now gone tomorrow.
This is a complete disregard to it's users and a complete disregard for service and consideration to the full picture of their users.
I've lost my account and years of content creation as a result of their complete lies and dishonest behaviors.1 -
Having the same exact issues right now. What I'd suggest is to use Twitter, or just find every possible way to get them to answer. I'm doing this right now. My account is going to be permanently deleted on May 19, but Imma wear them out and try to get my account back
for clarification i got banned for sending malicious links.. technically speaking, that i did do, however for me it was on accident. I was sent a IP logger by some weirdo on one of my discord servers...sent it to my friends to try and figure out what is was....andddddddddd 2 days later got a email saying my account got disabled. Pretty fun for me. What adds salt to the wound is that the person who sent me the IP logger intending to harm me and several other people is still on Discord, unscathed.
If your account does end up disabled, if you have spent money for nitro, I'd start asking for your money back.
