Discord NEEDS OPTIONS to recover your account other than just backup codes

I feel like i'm shouting into the void here, but just hear me out...

Discord has had a habit of logging me out of my account on all platforms all at once, so i can't have access to my mobile 2fa, meaning i HAVE to resort to the backup codes... I keep running out of them now, and it has given me more scares than i can count at this point.
I need another way to prove that it's me.


Please make it so i can prove that my account is my account... my phone is linked to the account, my e-mail is linked to the account... send 2fa thru text, send 2fa thru e-mail... GIVE ME OPTIONS!!! even if it's multilayered... SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!


I can prove an account is mine to a real human in, like, 2 seconds... why is it so easy to be locked out of your account FOREVER!?!?


I know about 5 friends who have all had to make new accounts because of the terrible way that discord handles 2fa.


Sorry if this feels like a rant more than a composed request. I've had my account for almost 5 years, and i don't want to be scared of losing it frequently over an update or two. Not to mention not being able to cancel discord nitro once it's gone...

    i agree we need to raise a bigger flag on the poor 2fa situations how theyre being handled and 2fa lock out

    If you haven't downloaded the backup codes, use Discord's SMS authentication process to regain access to your Discord account without 2FA verification code from this site. But unfortunately, even SMS authentication has to be enabled on your account first.
