Add Discord (& beta) to Huawei AppGallery
New Huawei devices don't come with the Google Play Store and as a result Discord is missing out on the 450~m users of Huawei devices using the AppGallery on a monthly basis
Currently you can sideload Discord, but it doesn't let notifications go through, which means the app is basically useless.
Discord should release their app on the AppGallery

You are correct its always the companys that develope there own apps and get revenue and money from amount of users on that plattform.
So Discord are losing 70 000+ users today for not have a App in Appgallery for Hms.
Thats alot of wasted money for Discord and thats why i dont understand them.
Often alot users doesent even request the app so i havent been bothered IF they got 200 000 new Appgallery download and users fast if it come

So you mean Discord doesnt care about revenue and amount of users on there app only upvotes in this forum that must be a bad strategy.
Thats like we cant have a App in Apple store without upvotes here even if we got 2 miljon downloads.

You are totally right , i can't even login to my account because reCAPTCHA verification needs Google play services too , so i have to join in another un-verified account to use Discord

I refuse to install Discord on my Huawei P40 PRO when they ignore the users i will not support this behavior from any company.
First when they come to Appgallery i will install it.

Ok all guys, Discord finally works without the google play services, it's not yet in the AppGallery but you can download it in APK, it will work

Where can i find the Apk are it on this Website i want an release directly from the developers, that i can trust or maybe only email Discord and get it? Where did you get that information

Please optimize your app to support HMS devices, it's literally not that hard, same code just slight changes to support HMS ecosystem.

Last update i got this week After Long answer time that they take in my information and whishes and want to do it good for all customers including me with Huawei Appgallery.
Dont understand if that means they working on a App

25 March Huawei gets out second beta of Harmony Os 2.0 to developers so maybe they waited for this toolkit to future proof the new App.

That's completely unrelated, this has nothing to do with harmony OS, last year Huawei spent a lot of money trying to get developers to come to the app gallery

How do you now if Harmony Os 2.0 Kernel need to adapt todays Appgallery apps? China have most support from app developers thats why rumors are that it will role out there first then later rest of the world.
Code apps to a complete new Os almost always need adaption to work on it.
You cant use Ios apps on Android or Nokia Os apps on other plattforms.
But that i thought all techguys atleast understand

Dang, it's been a year and we still have no Discord on App Gallery. I hate not getting push notifications on my phone for the app I use the most.

And we still waiting I use discord since 2017, and it is my main chat app I don't use any other method to communicate. But yeah like other people said without notifications it's useless.

I think it's about time the developers start caring about this situation. It's passed a lot of time and not a single statement was made from the team regarding the HMS.
We as clients, consumers, whatever you want to call it have been asking for this again and again. It's clearly something that affects the consumer base of the app and needs to be treated as an urgent situation. Although the app works fine, without push notifications it's really a hassle if you depend on this app as your main communication with the rest of the world.
Discord, let's not hear from the left ear and ignore it from the right ear, put this issue on the development board and start working on it or at least make a planning and make a statement!

And i ditch Discord and using other solutions i will not support a company that doesn't care about us with Huawei devices. Best protest are to leave them to they take action.

Absolutely bonkers that discord has made zero effort for this. I've missed time sensitive message because of no push notifications. It's so frustrating.
