1. To launch the Amazon Music Activity, navigate to a voice channel or text channel:
- Via a voice channel: Press the Activity Launcher [] and select the Amazon Music Activity.
- Via a text channel on desktop: Press the App Launcher [] button located left of the chat bar option. Then, select the Amazon Music Activity.
- Via text channels on mobile: Press the App Launcher [] button next to the chat bar. Then, select the Amazon Music Activity.
2. Once launched, you will need to provide authorization if you’ve never launched your chosen Activity before.
3. Then, be sure to sign in to your Amazon account or create an account by pressing Sign in. This will redirect you to Amazon via browser.
4. Once you have successfully connected, close the web browser and return back to the Activity in Discord.
How to Troubleshoot “Failed to Connect” Error
If you are running into a “Failed to Connect” error while connecting to the Amazon Music Activity, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
1. Verify that you have a reliable and strong internet connection.
2. Ensure that the Amazon account you’re using is not already linked to another Discord account. Each Amazon account can only be connected to one Discord account at a time.
3. In Discord, head into your User Settings > Connections and check if you have previously connected to Amazon Music.
a. If you are not connected, please retry connecting to Amazon Music.
b. If you are connected, delete the Amazon Music connection via Discord and Amazon.com by following the steps below.
4. Make sure your Discord desktop app or mobile app is up-to-date.
5. Force quit the Discord app, and try the steps again.
6. If you continue to experience connection issues, attempt the troubleshooting steps on another platform or device. For example, if you encounter problems on Discord's mobile app, try following the steps using the desktop application. How to Delete an Amazon Music Connection
Via Discord on Desktop
1. To delete your Amazon Music connection, head into your User Settings by selecting the cogwheel [] in the lower-left corner.
2. Then, navigate to Connections, where you'll find your Amazon Music connection if you’ve previously linked it.
3. To delete the connection, select the x button in the upper-right corner of the Activity and Disconnect.
Through Amazon’s Website or App
1. Go to Amazon.com and sign into your Amazon account.
2. Then, navigate to Account > Manage your data.
3. Once in Manage your data, select Manage apps & services with data access. If you’ve previously connected to Discord, you will see the Discord app listed.
4. To delete the connection, press Remove in the Manage Connection column.
