Support HEIC images / HEVC videos
Please do this already. It used to just be an Apple thing, but now Android phones use this image format too. Currently, the Android Discord app cannot recognize or upload these images/videos. The desktop app can upload them as unknown files but does not display them.
This is the new standard for efficient photo storage. It's really disappointing that Discord hasn't caught on with the times yet.
People have been asking for this for a long time. I'll link just a few of the examples I found.

This has a huge effect on user experience. By blocking HEIC images, you are limiting so many users from uploading images. It's a serious pain in the butt. It affects both Apple and Android users now.
And if that's not motivating enough, the biggest advantage of this image type is how much less space it takes up. From my experience, it often compresses an image by 50%. Just imagine how much database storage you could save by letting users upload HEIC images!
It's time. Just do it.
