Suggestion: Timestamp for each message
This has been asked before, but I think it's kinda important and the other threads were dead ends.
Can we get an option to add timestamps to each message in "User Settings"?
I don't care for the Cozy/Compact etc modes. I'm talking about about a simple box I can tick if I want timestamps next to my messages.
This seems like a very rudimentary feature in a chat program.

I don't understand why this wasn't a baseline feature for this system, let alone how requests to add this feature have gone ignored for so long. I shouldn't have to change the display mode to be able to determine when a message was sent. The date and time should be apparent in any chat window (and preferably be available as toggleable options for those who don't want them). Can anyone explain to me why this hasn't been addressed?
