Pronoun section in profile
There should be an editable section in one's profile to add your pronouns, similar to adding links to your other social media.

Or just write them in the new 'Custom status' area?

If you put them in custom status, then you can't have a custom status

You can have 128 characters for status. Im sure its more than enough

i want to display my pronouns to almost everyone except i dont want some of my lgbtqphobic school friends seeing pronouns. custom status is global

It's worth noting that profiles are hard to hide from specific discords. If this becomes a feature, it might not be beneficial unless users can also hide which discords are allowed to see profiles.
I might be fine letting every discord know what my pronouns are, but other users may want to avoid making statements about their pronouns in every discord they're in. Just reading the comments here, if some users think it's ok to suggest you "die instead" for even wanting to list pronouns, there should be protections in place. The obvious solution is to hide profiles to only friends (and maybe friends of friends). But that sort of defeats the purpose. If you end up joining a discord and want to share your pronouns but had to hide it by default, then this feature sort of misses the mark.
Some discords are run by admins and mods who are great about supporting inclusivity. Others not so much. If this feature is going to be taken seriously, users should be able to share the information they want to on a discord-by-discord basis.

this is (in my opinion) a non-problem. what would be better is that people just say "they/them" to people when they don't know their pronouns.this is a rock solid argument, because no one will ever get offended by people calling them "they/them".
i'm pretty sure that no one actually says the wrong pronouns either.-9 -
This should be added as a feature. People can not use it if they want.

Agree with this.
"Sharing their screen" is fine and all, and a good default.
I would prefer personally if it were "Showing her screen"

Would like to see this in the coming "About me" update as an option. Same with gender. It can be customizable.

Do a poll and the majority of the people on this platform (Discord) will agree that they do not want this feature. The about me has plenty of space, if you cannot fit everything about yourself there, then use your custom status.
This is not anti-LGBTQ when a gay person is literally typing this. We are tired of people pushing an agenda onto other people.-4 -

you're a cis guy, why do you think you're in any position to speak for non-cis people regarding pronouns in a chatting app??? lmao
